Story goes ... Years ago, at Engine 113 a guy on watch was kinda half asleep and heard scratching at overhead door. It was an off-duty cop that got shot on the corner of Harrison & Laramie. He was able to stumble then crawl about a hundred feet to the firehouse for help. By the time he got there he was too weak to knock or stand up. The guy on watch saved his life.
