The CTU just got a 1.5 BILLION dollar contract and you want to stand down? Seems like our union should be starting a grass roots effort to separate CFD from the city of Chicago. As the Chicago fire protection district we could leavy our own taxes (like cps), buy our own equipment and upkeep our own properties. It’s obvious the city has too much on their plate. We should just let them be.
