Hello Chalkies, I hope you’re all enjoying the jai-alai off-season!
We are two weeks away from the “league of Nations” championship tournament in Gernika Spain.
I am proud to announce that USA will have a team participating in this year’s competition.
Other teams participating include Spain, France, Basque country, Mexico, and Philippines.
The tournament dates are May 31 through June 6 and from what I’m hearing all of the matches will be televised by EiTB Basque television.
The players for team USA are Johan, Gorka, Douglas and Benny.
My son and I will be traveling with the team as coaches.
The Casino @ Dania Beach has made a generous sponsorship covering our flights, uniforms, insurance, and tournament registration.
In addition, we are doing a GoFundMe to raise some additional funds for essentials in preparation and while we are in the Basque country.
