Journalism - What a Horse - What a Ride

We got to see what a horse Journalism was on a fast track.

Rispoli gave him a great ride with explosive speed at the end !

If it was not for the bump at the quarter-pole he would have won it going away.

I do not know why the stewards did not place Goal Oriented last as I thought Prat purposely interfered with Journalism who ultimately won it but it also forced Clever Again in to the rail and he had to pull-up.

We cashed on the exacta and trifecta but despite the big pools the mutuels were meager (but a 6 - 5 was on top).

The syndicate is now a little better than even with our derby bet as we look ahead to the Belmont (at Saratoga).

I wish the Belmont was being run at the traditional 1-1/2 miles instead of 1-1/4 miles as that would have set up a nice race between Sovereignty and Journalism
