I will not touch, barter, trade, or do anything with them. For every foal you create that lives here in the lagoon, you must win a battle or bring in a new brother. If neither of these criteria are met, come them turning two and remaining in the lagoon, they are mine to do with as I see fit. Rules � The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders. � Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission. � All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say. � Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met. � You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page. � Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

The yearling lazed beneath the towering kapok, dozing with his side pressed against the flat wall provided by the tree's odd roots. He was doing so out of sheer boredom. These were the last few weeks of winter. Coincidentally, they were also the last handful of days until the colt turned two and could decide to formally join the Lagoon's ranks. It had always been his intention to do so. What better way to fill his time than by pissing off the herd stallions?

A single white ear flicked at the thought. The corner of his mouth curved upward in amusement. He could picture it now: a pretty little golden thing meeting him in secret, her father snapping at his heels to run him off when they'd been caught, the laugh that he'd mock the man with. Then, the paint imagined battling the lead for his daughter, for any of his mares. The expression became a shadow of the sneer of victory.

Luxor had come to the conclusion that the inhabitants too often forgot that the peace they found was because the powers that be let them. It would change though, the seal bay boy promised himself, because he would become that force, changing things one step at a time. He would be the one to upset their house of cards. His presence would be one they would all be forced to notice, no longer left by the wayside in the shadows.

His tail lashed then, black strands brushing over dark hocks traced with white. The sound of footsteps attracted his attention. White ears pricked forward, and Luxor opened his eyes to find another male (one he did not recognize) peering at him coldly. "What do they call you, young one?"

"And do you enjoy living here? Or would you prefer to be somewhere else?' Pale auds twisted to flatten back toward his poll, clearly displeased with having his nap and daydream interrupted especially with this guy's attitude right off the bat. The tone used by the older black paint pressured a dominance upon the colt that made him bristle. The seal brown of his upper lip curled slightly with his irritation. "Luxor, and what's it to you?" he scoffed in response.
