Her acceptance of his offer lifted a weight from his shoulders that he had not even known was there. Visions of the trio flashed in his mind's eye: exploring the deepest forests of Tinuvel, beholding the magnificence of the Falls together, traversing the desert landscapes of Salem. Each caused his once-still heart to soar higher, fluttering out a hummingbird's pace against his ribcage. It only increases when he hears her continue, her voice as soft as the falling snow.
"If that is what you want, that is what you will have." He murmured his reply, his dark eyes roving over the white-splashed planes of her face. She turned the question on him, then, inquiring after his own visions for the Bay. Emhyr huffed a soft sigh before parting his lips to speak.
"I envision..." he paused, considering his next words. There were a many great things that he envisioned - for himself, for the Bay, for Tinuvel as a whole. Another breath passed between his lips before he continued.
"I envision a future where Tinuvel can be united once again, as it was under my grandfather's rule. With the Bay at the heart of it, and my family at the top, ruling justly and fairly. A place where we protect and support one another."
He remained silent for a moment longer, glancing at Eythora from the corner of his eye.
"I suppose I wish to prove myself. My father... he had his moments, but he had a certain darkness within him, sometimes. I want to show the world that I am not like he was." His mouth pressed into a tight line once the confession finished spilling from between his lips. He had rarely spoken about his father with anyone outside his immediate family. Though there are many who know Fell's name and know his transgressions, Emhyr had always been somewhat hesitant to acknowledge the tie between himself and his sire, wanting to maintain degree of separation between the black beast of the Bay and himself. But he trusted Eythora - trusted that she would not hold the history of his family against him, as he so often feared others would.
"But beyond that," he continued, swiveling his head so he might bring his lips closer to her cheek, now radiating intoxicating warmth against his skin,
"I admit I want the same thing you do - to have the opportunity to show our son this land he will call home for years to come. To build a relationship that will endure through anything the world may throw at us." It was a simple confession, whispered into the minuscule space between them.
