I left out an important part of deepseek's response, the physiological effects.

- Increased Muscle Tension: Stress can cause tighter movements, reducing fluidity and accuracy.

- Adrenaline & Heart Rate Spike: While some thrive under adrenaline, others may lose fine motor control, affecting serves, swings, or catches.

That is really key because it is objective and measurable. Amazing idea, that instead of self-sabotage, is is a normal and expected response to the excitement of the moment.

Which implies that in high-pressure points, the "old hand at the game" might tend to be relatively blase and therefore automatically immune.

IOW, the psychology and physiology could be interlinked.
