haha, why do you look forward to talking with me, researching me, bullying, doxing, stalking? How many radio people want to open up but choose a career where they feel more comfortable hiding? Were you this bashful as a kid, or were you wounded and never got passed it?
I really would rather talk about other stuff but really so few people in here at all, you and I are the only consistent ones. We should be guiding these lads, help em with the tips and tricks.
I was always irritated with college because they'll just take your money even from people with no natural talent. I was already in the business and doing morning news before I even changed my major to broadcast journalism--I did that with abt 70 hours already and just wanted the degree to move up from medium market. It helped, schooling always makes us more well rounded and looks good on the resume. But people have different objectives from age 25 to age 50. Our needs are different by then and hopefully our skills and abilities.
But all you want to talk about is coffeetable magazine psychology. Maybe know about it but dont' have the skills to be a therapist. You certainly don't have them to write about it, based on your cut and paste habits here.
YOu do have my curiousity about your motives tho, but I'll admit having similiar ones about screwed up guys like BTK and Bob Berdella. I was around when BTK did his thing and I was friends with Dick LaMunyon when BTK was doing his thing, but I was long gone from Doodah when WPD finally got him. Berdella, well i was in the KC market and he called me once from prison complaining about the Petosi warden not letting him have a fax machine. Interesting stuff. I actually did a news story on that conversation. THAT kinda stuff is what kept my interest in news. So many stories to cover abt people and events. I even got to stormchase which was def an adrenalin rush when Weatherman mike Smith directed me to a tornado on the ground on South Rock Road. Me and photographer Bruce were driving as instructed, I saw a telephone poll on the side of the road in the rain turn horizontal and scared shitless, drive that 1980 newscar straight into the ditch. Figured I'd get fired for that, but Bruce got great pix a few minutes later when the SGFD showed up practically right in front of us where a house got knocked down. That was shit ya just don't ever forget! And who can quit a job when stuff like that happens every once in awhile??
Im in a small market now, I've learned ya can be an anchor even if you DO have a face for radio, and the pay's better, but....um B O R I N G!!!!

Don't be afraid to open up like I do, and show there's more to you than the very things you write to me, but maybe you're just trying to analyze yourself.
I get you don't want to be friends but why do you keep contacting me? And in your own backyard too. I wanna trade stories about radio and TV and you don't. Can you explain why you're here?
