Just back from the Albuquerque "No Kings" Rally Posted on June 14, 2025 at 04:00:12 PM by cutter
The rally was held at the Mariposa Basin Park. Very positive, very upbeat atmosphere. Rep. Stansbury and Mayor Keller were among the speakers. Local activist organizations had their booths/tents. Security was good, no incidents that I witnessed.
The mayor had people chanting "No Kings". Rep. Stansbury gave an excellent speech. No reminders necessary that the 4th of July isn't far away.
I carried a long stick that had Trump's head affixed on it. Trump had a crown on his head. Underneath the head was the words "Donald I" and beneath that another sign with "Sic Semper Tyrannis" on it.
It was very well received. Lots of people took pictures of it. Others posed with the sign and I took their photo. No one had a negative thing to say about it. Replies: There have been no replies.
