Though she looks at Tino and asks him questions, she cannot keep her eyes off her baby for long. It was hard not to when she felt she was looking back at herself as a newborn. Sure, Calanthe's eyes didn't match her own, but the girl was strong and so very cute. She wonders just how many grandchildren she would bring to this world or if she would one day rise to power as her mother had. So far only Devi really showed any promise of gaining some power. Yasmina seems to only have gotten her fighting side with no leadership or baby bearing. She was more like a guard to the King...or Queen.

Tifa was her motherly daughter. She had a few children in the Inlet before dissapearing with them. Parvati wonders if she had any more out there beyond the islands. Zeva had still been young when she ran off with Tifa (she assumes they all ran off together with Zurok. Wherever he went.). Rin had never seemed interested in anything. Barely talked to anyone until he eventually dissapeared on his own. Sarah had also been independent young and went off to do her own thing. Sweet Junco, they had been so close when he was young. His dissapearence had been the most shocking and out of nowhere.

Baby Lati might have been something great, but the world would never know. Taken too soon from this world. It was a mystery what Calanthe might turn out to be. Parvati smiles lightly at Tino as he mentions his new brother. She nods her head at his comment with a proud smile. "They don't stay little for long." Even she remembers how smaller Tino had seemed when she helped watch him last fall with Raini's capture. He was now growing into a grown stallion. Tino then says he was worried about hurting his little brother. "You do have to be careful especially when they are first born. Don't worry he will get strong in no time."

Any bloodline of theirs would get strong fast. Plus, foals could be so resilient. Suddenly she felt the nibble of a small muzzle. Parvati turns her head to peer at her small daughter with a smile. She bumps her shoulder towards the filly with a giggle. As she eyes find Tino again she notices him looking around. Parvati becomes curious as to why, but before she can ask he seems to settle and begin talking again. Ah, so it would seem he has some troubles on his mind that he doesn't want anyone else to hear. Parvati listens knowing very well that she was experienced in this kind of thing.

"I see." She says just before he begins talking again. It was then that the approaching horse causes her to pull her attention from Tino. She smiles lightly when he sees it is Nico listening to the last statement the young stallion was saying. "Nico is a very kind stallion. He loves children and wants a big happy home. I expect nothing less than he would take you in." She grins at her brother as she talks him up to mask the fact of his arrival. Little did they know that taking other foals in was a family tradition in the Inlet. Other generations of their family had done the same thing decades prior.

"You don't have to be my blood to be my son." Nico's voice separates the silence. "Before your mother was taken I had asked her if I could adopt you. I promised to protect you and finish raising you as my son." Nico smiles. "I dont just love your mother, but I love you too." His heart swells wondering what Tino may think with that information. How could he ease his doubts?
