Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to

and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Solas (Khyber x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

The young male, once confronted with the sight of her, stared for a moment in surprise. In truth, Alioth had never expected Eriana to come here. She had been so irate with him when the appaloosa had warded off a suitor. Then, the previous winter had happened. His dark, freckled lips parted some, but no words came out. They'd been so close to death. Alioth shuddered to remember the mare crashed down into the snow, nearly unable to go on. But obviously they had survived, and Eriana had pushed him away again. Despite wanting desperately to go after her, the Lagoon brother had let her go.

In her absence, Alioth had chosen to stand his ground in the Lagoon. He'd just been elected General, though he trusted she had no way of knowing that, not yet anyway. Judging from her face, the appaloosa guessed that, when finally faced with him, she seemed surprised, too. That was when the stallion finally took Eriana in. Concern knit his brow together. Were those her ribs? Upon hearing her voice again, his eyes darted back to the mare's face.

His heart leaped at the sound of her breathy whisper, clenching as he saw unspent tears in her eyes. The mismarked General shook his head at her, as if the movement would wave away her fears. Alioth rushed over to her, a warm nicker thrumming in his chest. He threw his neck around hers, pulling Eriana into him, hoping the touch might comfort her. "Shhhhh, sweetheart," he murmured. "You can always come to me." It is bold of him to refer to her in such a way, but Alioth cannot help the warmth he feels for her. Would she push him away again for it? "What's wrong?" How could he fix whatever was the matter?

Alioth
