The Arabian stallion stood somewhat apart from the rest of the herd that had collected nearby. He was ever watchful now as Nyimara's second, patrolling often throughout the day. Helios was grateful that the silver-haired queen had allowed his herd to come here when he lost the Dunes to Lucifer. It had been some time now since the battle. Time had been slow to heal his injuries, and there were still days where a twitch of his tail sent small shivering pains down his hindlegs. Fortunately, those days were lengthening between pain spikes. Today, for instance, was an especially good day. Helios felt particularly whole, frisky even.

So when the Desert Queen came to stand with him, he paid her close attention. �I take it all is well this morning?� The stallion's dished profiled bobbed in a singular nod, sliding his umber gaze over the graceful curve of her back. "It is," he stated warmly. Too thoroughly did he enjoy the tone of Nyimara's voice. She always sounded so.... what was the word? "And you, my queen, look remarkably well this morning." His current good mood and general vitality made the copper male cockier than normal, and he intended to enjoy it this time around.
