Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

He had wandered, far and wide, in search of answers to questions he didn’t know how to voice. But there, on the threshold of a world so much bigger than he could even comprehend, the wild Bachelor stallion, who had physically matured and grown strong and sleek - a far cry from the mud covered yearling that had roamed the Lagoon - turned back to the Islands.

Warg was led by a pang of longing that bloomed incomprehensibly in his chest.

But no sooner as he had ventured ashore, venturing to the Falls to slake his thirst with the sweet water that flowed there, Warg stumbled across a familiar scent. He cast about, growing increasingly puzzled - and therefore agitated - about what she was doing this far north.

Seawater still drying on his coat, trip to the river quickly forgotten, he followed the trail toward the Peak, and stilled as he caught movement ahead. A figure, instantly recognizable, drew and held his attention. He held his breath as she picked up on his presence, and when she bolted, a playful growl rolled up his throat and he gave chase.

But it was over far too soon. The mare - because she was certainly no filly anymore - halted ahead and turned to face him, though she could not yet see him, for the way he’d instantly shrunk back into the shadows between the trees. Then came her voice, calling him out. "Not how the game works," he rumbled, stepping into view. "Forgot already?"

There was a gleam in his eyes as they fixed upon the white-patched mare. It had been some time since they’d last seen one another, even longer since they’d last interacted, but Warg certainly hadn’t forgotten her. "Supposed to run, til I catch you," he continued, words stilted, but nowhere near as disjointed as they had been when he was younger.

A momentary pause, where silence and stillness settled between them, and then Warg advanced, picking his way swiftly across the distance between them, ears pricking, that same old restlessness rolling off him in waves. "Got lost, Saphris?" Warg drawled, gaze slanting toward the trees - and the path that led home to the Lagoon - as he extended his muzzle, reaching to touch her.
