Words swirl in her mind until they wrap together becoming a mess of thoughts. She had what she wanted to say, then thought of another way, and now she wasn't sure at all. At this point she didn't know how her anger would spiral until she saw Khar'pern in the flesh. She could imagine the conversation all day long, but it had nothing to do with reality. Her leader's responses could change everything.
Clarity might have kept her opinions to herself if it hadn't been for the stench of the corpse. Add that to her position and she felt obligated. If she was going to be fighting for her sister, leading them into battle, she had to know the battle was justified. This one did not feel so. The grey mare comes into veiw and Clarity raises her muzzle to match her energy. Still walking like a leader even though she was single handedly destroying their safety. Intense blue eyes watch the mare as her gaze looks to the world below them.
She notes her small smile and notices how her faces changes. From happy to more..sad maybe? It was odd, but Clarity had not called her to catch up on personal matters. This was about the safety of their sisters, what they stood for, and the actions of their Prime Minister. Finally the mare looks her way with the words of someone not interested in dragging this conversation out. She did like that. She did not hold back. "You have brought death upon us."
She had not known the mare whose corpse lined the Peak's border. The body had been a mare and that was all she needed to know. The Lagoon had struck just as Garmr had threatened. "Your foolish infatuation with that Lagoon stallion has cost us all." She says with poison on her tongue. "How do we know it will stop here? This may only be the beginning.." Her voice trails off. Khar'pern knows the danger they were in. Garmr did not seem like a stallion who would stop.
"I am prepared to fight for our sisters and for those that need our help." She begins again with eyes flickering with anger. "I am not prepared for a needless war because of sex and possession." That is what this was wasn't it? Her Prime Minister wanted to play games with her bad boy lover and the Lagoon Boss was not having it. "You have been around the Peak for a long time. Before you left the islands I know you remember what the Peak used to be like. None of the younger generation knows it like myself or you." Clarity may have been here longer, but Khar'pern was old enough to have seen some of the past.
"Is any of us prepared to fight like Božena had? Or live up to the legend of Macabre? You do know Cullen still lives and resides in the Lagoon." Not that she has heard any influence from Cullen for years, but she didn't trust it. Her brother was old, but he was still smart. A master manipulater. "Feelings for members of the Lagoon is the same reason that Oswin left us and why she was kicked from her position." Oswin has been one of the last of her generation. She had heard she and Tyr had made a life together afterwards which was fine. It just wasn't meant for this life.
