Memories can be so fleeting

Teagan listened, her lips twitching faintly, pleased she had been right about her thoughts of him being a local. With her current memory situation it was a relief to know some of her basic skills and observations were correct. It gave her hope that with time she might remember where she came from or how she ended up in the water.

For now though the mare had more pressing issues to deal with, such as somewhere safe to reside and rest. She offered Lucifer a grateful smile when he offered to take her with him back to his home, listening as he described The Dunes and then informing her that he was lead. She was a little surprised by that fact but tried not to let it show too much, something was telling her that not all territory leads would have been as kind as he had been, but she honestly couldn’t remember why she thought that. It briefly made her wonder what her own herd had been like and weather her feelings towards a herd lead had anything to do with how she had ended up in the water. It annoyed her that she couldn’t remember something that might be especially important.

With a sigh she put those thought to the back of her mind, one thing at a time she thought, focusing all her attention on Lucifer thank you, that is very kind and I would definitely like to take you up on your hospitality she said with a smile before continuing even if it’s just temporary, until I have recovered a bit, I wouldn’t want to over stay my welcome or place my burden’s at your hooves she said politely, although hoping she wouldn’t end up back in the position she found herself in now, alone with no memories in an unfamiliar place. Concern swept thought her, because what if she never recovered the memories she had lost? Would she always feel like part of her was missing.

Taking a deep breath she focus back on the black stallion, looking to where to had looked when he spoke of Salem as realisation hit her it means another swim, doesn’t it? she raised an eyebrow at him, a hint of playfulness she didn’t know she possessed entering her voice I’ll try not to drown this time she said with a chuckle trying to hide her nerves at having to get back in the water. She may have sounded confidently, hopefully at least, but inside she was remembering the struggles of waking up under water.
