Well Worth Watching - Enable Subtitles on YouTube Posted on August 16, 2025 at 01:16:42 AM by Stu Neiman
Watch it on a TV or desktop and turn on the subtitles. Though not “The Fog of War” (2003 “Academy Award for Best Documentary” - Interview with Robert McNamara about “lessons” of history)this interview is well worth the Jai-Alai enthusiast’s time. Juan Zulaika’s interviews (all of them) are excellent and are providing a valuable audio/visual record of the sports history.
I genuinely enjoyed this one in particular - watched it twice actually. It allowed me to re-assess a position I took a few years ago to make sure that I handled it correctly. And in watching and listening to this pretty intently it confirmed that my decision was the correct one. Unlike McNamara my decisions don’t involve warfare or choosing incendiary bombs over conventional ones, but since roughly 1998 I do recognize that some of my decisions and recommendations do effect lives and families and I take that responsibility very seriously. Sometimes I do question past actions and am quick to acknowledge when I am wrong but it’s rare that I have an opportunity to confirm that I was right - and in this case I was.
Self awareness is a great gift that is often come-by painfully and regretfully some don’t have it. Tunnel vision is a blessing in many ways. But I digress.
I highly recommend this and indeed all of Juan Zulaika’s interviews. And if you are a fan of history and have not seen “The Fog of War” - try and watch it. Like this interview it’s well worth your time.
