To remind him just how hard this conversation would be, little Midir comes barreling towards him. He should have known calling for Amber would bring their son running. Still, he gives the colt a warm smile the closer he gets to his father. Seeing, no, having his son was a miracle in itself. There was no telling what lay in store for him and Baba Yaga in the future. Midir could quite possibly be his only son.
He couldn't hold back the laugh that erupts as his handsome colt comes running. He got closer and closer until the colt was rearing and pushing into his body. Dagda laughs loudly with the brightest smile as he son rough houses. Right now he wouldn't be able to push his father back, but one day he would be strong. Dagda could only pray they always stay on the same side as each other. Family was everything and though Amber may not be his true love, Midir made her family.
"My mac." He replies to his child after the colt says hello. Midir then asks if they could play, but by now his eyes were on Amber. He nods his head to her, "Amber," he says her name quietly. Midir trots over to his mother and tries to mess with her hair. Dagda smiles softly, but it soon fades as Amber finds his gaze again. Nerves begin to resurface when she asks if everything was okay.
She seems to sense something was up as she turns to their son and asks him to go look for other foals to play with. The only other foal that stuck out to him was Titan, his half sister. It would be nice if they became closer. "Try to find Titan." He says with eyes locked to Midir. "Go see if she can play and if not we will be able to play soon. I just need to talk to your māthair first." Hopefully the explanation would be enough for Midir. He didn't want to lie to his son so a little bit of the truth wouldn't hurt.
His eyes slowly return to Amber. She looks so beautiful today and it was unfortunate what he was about to say. Replies: There have been no replies.
