ArmentA I agree with your assessment of Dale as a person. I can still visualize him, when he was the General Manager, in Ocala Jai Alai's
lobby greeting and making small talk with fans who had entered the building for the first few games. I would see him shaking hands with someone and if I looked away for a few seconds I'd have to look around only to see him greeting someone else.
Ocala JA was indeed a family affair for him with his son playing professionally and, if memory serves me correctly, his wife managing the Carem Club Restaurant for a while.
