More parimutuel games and performances does not equal more overall net-income before player costs. Required State fees, on track and interface tote costs are about as low as they can get as are broadcast fees on the parimutuel side. Plus Security, concessions, programs, announcers, judges, etc. This is all before you get to player costs. This has been the case since at least 2005-2007. With respect to players you can only cut so much.
We have the benefit of Battle Court which allows us to spread player and player support costs. It does not come down to a specific dollar figure as much as a logical minimization of costs in support of our overall program. It’s no more or less complicated than that. Replies:
