Rules The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders. Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission. All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say. Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met. You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page. Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce. |

'Had you rather raise a filly here?' The question makes muscles in her chest clench. In truth, Dior had imagined having a daughter. Perhaps it was a little conceited, but, in her mind's eye, the filly looked like her with smoke-kissed caramel skin. The girl had a tinkling laugh that lit up her blue eyes, or maybe she would have a green hue similar to Garmr. What kind of a life would that little girl have here though?
What she could remember of her own youth spent in the Lagoon had been happy, full of games and laughter. There was no way of knowing if that time had been peaceful for her dam, short of trekking to the Peak to ask her. That, of course, was an impossible ask since Garmr would almost certainly refuse to let her go. With only a huff to respond to his query with, Dior mused inwardly that her mother had at least had someone there she could count on. She couldn't trust Garmr as far as she could shove him.
He moved passed her then, roaming deeper than she had. Dior watched quietly as Garmr used the sea to clean himself. It was remarkable how much filth had fallen from his fur. Yet still, the muck remained in places, not willing to be parted from its master. 'How do you hope to raise the child?' It's an unexpected question and one she isn't sure how to answer. If not a girl she could try to mold into something stronger than herself, then what? How would she raise what might arguably be a member of the next generation of Lagoon men? Short of a longshot chance of smuggling him out of here, Dior wondered if her son could grow up to be like Diomedes in some way.. if Garmr or the other fiendish bachelors didn't sink their claws into him first.
"I don't know," she answered honestly. "I suppose my hope is that they will feel loved.. and have a good head on their shoulders." Her voice has softened, warmed even in the abstract thought of the foal that slumbered within her. This would be her first child; even now the hope lived on that more would come someday. The mare's brow creases as her blue eyes lifted to the male once more. There is a fear that hides behind the azure of her gaze. It may very well be the fear of childbirth, but moreover it is a fear of the unknown, a fear that she will do wrong and not be able to fix it. "This.. is my first," Dior admitted, gaze slowly falling away from his face.
