The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree [x] Posted on September 29, 2025 at 01:36:45 PM by Tamar & Nicodemus
OOC: This is an old thread so I figured I'd button it up. After this Tamar just hangs around the Inlet keeping to herself. No need to reply unless you want to!
The bay stallion shakes his head followed by an answer that didn't exactly surprise her. Since she had no idea where she was going it was a risk that she might end up somewhere different. This section of the island was called the Inlet, he says, and then mentions that the Cove was on the other side of the island. She nods slowly as her eyes follow in the direction he moves his head.
She could easily walk in that direction to find the place. Shouldn't be too hard, but her eyes quickly return to the stallion as he offers his help. He even mentions that her mother might be there waiting for her. Her eyes narrow thinking this could be a trap. He could be trying to get her away from something or just get her secluded in that direction. Although, he had no idea her mother was not in fact waiting for her.
"Okay." She says softly. Tamar was still skeptical, but maybe having a stallion with her for protection was a good idea. He could turn out to be a bad guy, but what were the odds of meeting two so close together? "The Cove is not safe right now." A voice coming from somewhere behind the bay roan causes her to jump. She quickly spots the taller calico stallion as he aproaches.
"I wouldn't suggest any of us go there." Nico says as he slows his gait to a stop near them. "At least not while Warwick has it." Tamar glances back to the bay roan then back to the newcomer. If the Cove was dangerous she couldn't go there and fall into another imprisonment. But what would she do now? "How do I know I can trust your word?" She asks the calico stallion. "I guess you don't. Maybe rely on your instincts to tell you the truth." Nico's face was stoic as he speaks.
"My name is Nicodemus de Solomon, leader of the Inlet. You are welcome to seek shelter here for as long as you need until it is safe to go to the Cove." Tamar glances back at the first stallion then back to Nico again. "Please let me know as soon as you get word that it is safe." Maybe, hopefully, she could trust them to do so and nothing more. "I am called Tamar." She says her name softly, looking back at the first stallion. They both seem kind enough. Of course Tattoo had also said he was kind. Replies: There have been no replies.
