I think this is a direct function of court size. There is not a lot of room for four people to be in position at times.

Giving the benefit of the doubt, it could be that being a hard serve, the ball came off the side wall a bit quicker than anticipated, and Cabrera felt he had to move quickly. If he know the serve was like that in advance, he might have moved behind him.

Then again, I could be completely off base. I don't watch enough Magic City to really know how professionals handle the small court, but I did play at North Miami for over 13 years (on all three courts back in the day), and if someone did that on the plastic ball court, it might get some scrutiny.
