I cannot possibly challenge Danny’s report below that Haynes has a hairline fracture and will be out until Ohio State. I’m sure it is based on credible info he received and that he did not respond to the follow up inquiries re sources and what have you for good reasons.
So, if Danny’s intel is correct, as someone who has tackled numerous foot, ankle, and lower leg injuries, for what it is worth, I can report that every injury in that area of the body is absurdly unpredictable. Whoever reported to Danny that Haynes will be out until Maryland but somehow back by Ohio State, a magic point predictive recovery within a 5-6 day window, would suggest to me that if the hairline fracture diagnosis is indeed true, that means Haynes is currently predicted to not be practicing until that week at the earliest. There is no conceivable world in my experience where someone could confidently report a return to full form recovery date for a foot, ankle, or lower leg injury with any remotely reliable confidence a few days into the diagnosis.
