Battle For My Heart Posted on November 1, 2025 at 06:35:14 PM by Carrhae
Carrhae kept her eyes fixed on her sire’s, watching as his eye narrowed and ears went back. She almost smirked at his thunderous gaze, managing to stop herself at the last moment. Was she playing fire… most likely. However she was an adult now, she didn’t need his permission to leave the badlands. Neither would she break under the weight of that anger being thrown her way, even without words she felt it rolling off him.
Her attention switched to the mare slowly, almost as if she unwilling to take her eyes off her sire, still she kept him in her sight as she addressed the mare I’m looking for someone called Parvati? Her voice was soft, the words bringing back to sorrow of watching that stallion die. At least he hadn’t died totally alone, she had made sure of that and if delivering a message to someone he cared for was his last dying wish, well it was a small ask really, even if she did have to face her fathers anger. Maybe if he had been at home, where he seemed to think she should always be, instead of visiting some lover, his young daughter would not have had to witness and try to help a dying horse by herself. She was more than ready to throw that back in his face if it called for it, but she also wanted to respect the old stallions family who would soon be mourning his loss one she had delivered his final message.
Her demeanour had shift whilst her thoughts reminded her of why she was here, sadness for the stallion and his family weighing heavy on the young mare as her attention once more settled on the unknown mare, hoping she’d point her in a direction that would get her out of her father sight, at least for now.
