 It had been the last thing her mother had said to her, and probably the kindest. Sathona had not experienced the gentle mother, or the tender lessons in life. Everything had been harsh; reprimanded with real bites when punishable, or ignored when the behavior was acceptable. Such as how her mother had been raised, she knew, but Sathona got to witness others with their children and how it could be if she so chose. She just has to be the one to break the cycle, since Seigel didn’t seem inclined. 
  
 The first step would be to find her own herd. So as she flung herself to the sea, she swam for the Crossing with one place in mind. Finding it wasn’t hard, or at least from what she thought it to be described as. The Commons; a heartless place for a heartless thing. No, not her. Though she had been raised to be, she could still feel it beating recklessly inside her chest. Especially as she stood in the middle of the opening, still drenched in sea water dripping from her soggy mane and tail. Blue eyes cast around, wondering who would approach such a thing as her.
