Fan the flames of hell

She sighed, not wanting to give in on this one little point, her mother was stubborn but Larkin was her mother’s daughter and so just as stubborn when she wanted something. It was like a rock trying to move another, bigger rock. Just then the filly brightened, looking past her mother and smiling. Why? Because she was daddy’s little girl and she would probably have more luck convincing her father. She glanced at her mother before hind limbs propelled her forward at a fast canter Daddy! She called, barely slowing before she got to him, nimbly avoiding crashing into him she pressed up against him, glancing up with pleading eyes as she rubbed her head against his neck.

The youngster craved touch from her family members, something her mother had questioned Canis’ on when she first born as to weather that was normal, Larkin had always been a very happy foal who cared deeply for those around her from a very early age, and with nothing but positive experiences she had kept that demeanour as she had grown.

Daddy can you please tell momma that I’m old enough to move round our home without her following me everywhere now, I mean we’re safe here, right? She asked, her wide eyes only adding to her innocent look.

Hellfyre gave her daughter a mock serious look before her gaze went to Canis, her eyes portraying her uneasiness. Canis knew her history, born in a time of war they weren’t allowed to grow up before they died. Hellfyre had got anyway, found her way here and still she found it a surreal experience having a family, something she have never expected. They had decided not to tell young Larkin on her mother’s past, at least not until she was older. Hellfyre knew she was protect over her daughter but sometimes she struggled to let go a little… ok let go a lot. It was at times like these where she relied on Canis to help her understand what was a normal reaction. She knew he’d never put their daughter in harms way and she trusted his judgement, just like she would trust him now to tell her if she was stifling their daughter.
