Luck continued to be on his side, as he wasn’t forced to find her. Instead, the red draft mare emerged from the shadows before he took a step further into the territory. A smirk curved his lips at her whispered words before he prowled closer to her. “Should I?” he practically purred, his green eyes so much like his father’s glinting in the moonlight. “Or perhaps its that I don’t care.” Caine quipped.
Brave but not stupid. He knew that whatever beast might emerge after her would be well past his ability to defeat. Titan was already larger than him despite their shared age. But what he lacked in brawn, he would make up in agility. It gave Caine all the confidence he needed to stand there with such a mischievous look upon his face.
“I’ll be able to go wherever the hell I want, when I want.” The sooty champagne stated. “So why not start now?” Lifting his chin and turning his head so that he peered at her from the corner of his eyes, he gave another smug smirk. “Will you be able to claim the same, Titan? Or are you going to be another boring herd mare?” A dare, and he hoped she took the bait so that they would have at least one fun night together.
