Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

a storm with skin

Fate's bones creak, her teeth grit. She watches the horizon carefully, and the way the Peak cuts against it. For a place that loomed so large in her mind, the desolation hurts. Cold fingers of it seeping through her system, down her spine. It's not quite what she's dreamed of, now is it? A sigh heaves through her sides, but at least she wouldn't be alone for long. No, there are footsteps on the approach. Her ears swivel, pivot, looking for the source. Beneath the clouds, she gazes upon the mare. A call comes beneath the high pressure system that would usher in this storm.

"This was my grandmother's home, and her mother before her. It only seems right that it should be mine too." Fate's words are carefully chosen. Though Anath's ghost had long since left this place, she would take up that mantle. Her posture is carefully composed, as if trying not to let too much of her true colors shine through. Fate is meant to be kinetic, but she needed to keep it together. Look reasonable. Look like she could belong here.

"I'm Fate." Right, she won't namedrop. It probably doesn't mean anything anymore, anyway. Instead, she watches the other mare with careful interest. Though the Peak couldn't turn anyone away, there's a fragile understanding that comes with coexisting. She's trying her best to look reasonable, after all.

I’m not like them
