It had been a year since Annubis had offered her a way to find her family. Another year she had been too much of a coward to take it and find adventure in the world. The pale mare had found peace here; a true paradise in her eyes. Even though he would offer her protection, Izumi was truly afraid if she ever left it, she wouldn’t get to come back. Irrational perhaps, but since she was only here by chance, by someone else’s good deal in a trade, Izumi didn’t want to offer that strike of luck to be snuffed out by fate.


Picking her way down a well-worn trail that lead from the jungle to the beach made often by the silver buckskin, she felt a need she wasn’t quite sure of to go and find him. The last season she had found particularly lonely, though that was her fault too. Maybe…. Just maybe, she could ask him for a child to keep her company? Or that she might invite him to keep her company more often?


Izumi’s face flushed at the prospect of both. She wasn’t a filly anymore though; she was well into adulthood and it was time she started doing adult things. Creating her own family, being a part of this place she truly loved; she thought taking a step in that direction would be the right one. She just needed to find Annubis first.
