Re(1): I asked AI about the increased MC court length and Passing Posted on November 19, 2025 at 04:44:48 AM by Craig G
Preemptive note: this thread is ...
I was impressed by your optimism, so I asked ChatGPT: "In a msg forum, how many posts would you regard a necessary to constitute a "thread"?
Minimum requirement
At least two posts
1 post = just a standalone message
2 posts = an initiating post and at least one reply, which creates an actual back-and-forth
But culturally…
If you ask “when does it feel like a thread?” most people would say:
3+ posts → looks like a real conversation
5–6+ posts → clearly an active thread
10+ posts → a substantive or lively thread
20+ posts → a “long thread” by most forum standards
Short answer
Strictly: 2 posts
Colloquially: 3–5 posts
Clearly a thread: 6+ Aside from that, my own experiences with the top AIs is that in technical and theoretical matters that are novel, ie where they have no source refs, they make a ton of mistakes. No way I would take their assessment of court size impacts as definitive. Replies: There have been no replies.
