It’s way past time for manpower to get cut. I don’t like it, but deep down you all know it. It’s the easiest way for the city to save a ton of money, and they should slash plenty of other things too. It makes financial sense to drop most companies to four, even three. Most residents would barely notice a change in service. Froth and gnash your teeth all you want, every one of you knows it’s true. I just hope leadership in both the department and the union is ready to either face that reality or fight it, because either way, it’s coming. Replies:
