You can't compare what happens in jai alai to what happens in other pro sports. There are pro sports and then there is jai alai, which stands alone and by itself in the world of sports
Professional sports list all types of pertinent information including players injuries and when they are expected to return, players salaries and money won and a lot of other things that jai alai does not give out. MC seems to be flipping the script and getting better at this, but in all the years past and when jai alai was a big deal, none of the frontons gave out any of that information.
Years ago, someone asked what the players salaries were and some pros or ex-pros got offended and replied "none of your business" and also "I don't ask you how much you have in your 401k".
Height and weight and even age used to be made up at the discretion of the players manager. Everyone on the roster used to be perfect physical specimens according to the program. You can't exaggerate or embellish players height/weight/age in MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA or any other professional sports leagues, not if you want to be taken seriously.
