Aelia
Months had gone by. She'd pondered where to go. But mother's voice kept ringing in her mind, reminding her to stay safe in the meadows or falls. It seemed good advice, with the season changing as it did. Even she could tell the mares around her were in heat, herself included. She didn't dare venture too far from the trees. Sheltering amongst the large trunks she knew she could keep herself safe if the need arose. But a part of her was twisted at the thought. It was in everyone's nature to yearn for a child, wasn't it? Why wasn't that part of her yearning? Made her feel as if a part of her was broken. But she wasn't sure if she wanted that part of her fixed.
The moon hung high in the sky, clouds distant and few, letting luna's gaze stretch far and wide across the expanse of the falls. The moonlight bouncing against her pale coat made it almost glow. She watched the world around her. She'd found herself fed up staying in these lands, if she was honest. Come season change she'd venture out. Mother be damned. A snort escaped as the pale girl thought of her meek mother. She didn't understand her and her ways, and after this, she's found herself over trying to be a good daughter.
Her head dropped to the ground to snatch a mouthful of the sweet grass blades as she stood bathed in the moonlight. The sound of the water splashing against the rocks and against the pool below lulled her into a blissed out state of sorts. While she wasn't nice to many, it more presented in her denial to speak to anyone that she didn't choose. Mother called her cold, volatile, she preferred picky. The difference to her was enormous, but not to others, so she was told. But when she did speak, she was brash and abrupt, not afraid to say what was on her mind. So there was that. For now silence descended from her, as was the norm these days.
