The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree Posted on December 1, 2025 at 11:47:37 AM by Tamar
It felt wrong to be thinking how cute Ashitaka was. It felt morbid. With the recent depression, losing her mother (she knew in her heart she was dead), and having to escape the clutches of another stallion she should be all worn out. She had been worn out for awhile, but it was time to start crawling out of the hurt. Mother would want her to move on with her life.
Besides, it seems the Inlet held some distant family she knew nothing about. Staying here could mean learning about this new side of her family and feeling close to her blood again. Maybe she could be happy here? Ashitaka smiles at her question to which cracks a small smile on her own lips. His answer causes her to see relief. She would stay here in the Inlet under Ashitaka. He would keep her safe moving forward.
The bay stallion looks happy before he looks away. Tamar wasn't sure what, or who, he was looking for, but he seems happy to have her. She watches him curiously until his attention turns back to her. His question catches her off guard. Her head shakes before she makes a small, audible, answer. "No," She replies rather quickly with her smile dissapearing.
"I don't have anyone else." She then says softly. "The new family I have found here is all I have." She may not know them, but she had high hopes. Maybe they could heal a part of her longing soul. "I understand if you have others to look after too." She adds thinking maybe he had mentioned that thinking she might get lonely when he was gone. Ashitaka might not be able to be at her side all the time. Replies: There have been no replies.
