GUIDELINES
common sense, really
i. the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands
ii. anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents
iii. adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm
iv. the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head
v. the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors
Echo one's past and they will haunt you for life.

NOCTIFER
stallion | 17.0hh | black | prairie

Something woke the young man from his slumber. Eyes of a golden hue slowly blink open, their depths startling under the faint light that the moon brought over the land. Shifting his head, the heavy set draft stallion found his body rising from the tall grasses of the Prairie to look about himself. He knew something was wrong, but at the current moment his mostly asleep mind could not pinpoint what it was.

Turning his head to the left and then to the right, Noctifer eyed the sleeping herd that he always stuck to the fringes of. He was still new to this territory, but something inside of the pitch black stallion rumbled to life. He was not like his father, but there was this little inkling in his gut that said danger was near. It made him bristle, but as he listened to the land around himself, he could not tell exactly what it was. That was, until he heard voices and scented one not from the territory.

Jerking his head fully up and perking black ears, Noctifer shifted his weight. He should go wake Lir, he really should, but instead he did not. With his front hives moving and his hind end following, the bulky son of Lucifer moved through the open land, his body a shadow against the dark land. It was hard to see him at this time of day, but as he made purposeful thumps with his hooves, one could hear something heavy heading their way. He was not trained however, but at the moment he bluffed a pretty good game.

Crawling out of the wood work and letting his golden eyes land upon August, Noctifer pulled in a breath before letting his bright eyes slide over to the pale stallion. He said nothing for a while, but soon enough the demon son sighed faintly. “Everyone is sleeping.” As his voice rumbled from the bottom of his lungs, he searched August. “Are you alright?”
