Caine had not lived in the Lagoon long, but he already felt restless in the murky territory. Used to the rocks beneath his hooves on Tinuvel, he wondered if he would ever get used to the squishy mud? Deciding he needed a break, he sloshed his way from the Lagoon to the Falls first, but found nothing of interest there which lead him to the Commons.
Picking a spot beneath a winter naked tree, he watched others come and go. It wasn’t until he saw the young stallion, perhaps the same age as himself, emerge from the waters and venture further into the Commons. A smile quirked his lips, trying to decide what sort of greeting he might offer to the strange, when a young mare waltz right up to him. Caine immediately scoffed, forgetting his attempt to be cool, and strode over to the pair.
“It’s I am taking you home. Not I think” Caine corrected, going over to stand next to the stallion. His green eyes never left the young mare, as pretty as she is, he had to remind himself that she was the enemy. “I thought the Peak stood for freedom? At least the Lagoon does not represent itself with falsehood.” he snorted in disgust. “You won’t be forcing him into your little hoard of pets today.” Only if the stranger decided to go willingly.
