Marceline has scarcely answered that she hadn't found the trail that would lead them to his brother when a stranger - a giant black stallion that was bigger than any other horse Imshael had ever seen approached.
Wide-eyed, Imshael pressed further into Marceline's side, trying to make himself as small and unnoticeable as possible to the stallion whose choice of words had made him seem kind and helpful, but there was
something in his tone and the general posture made Imshael think he meant the opposite.

Then a second stallion showed up, one who seemed to know the first, and Imshael disliked the way he spoke even more. There was a tightness in his chest, some kind of feeling he hadn't felt before, but he couldn't
find the words to express it, and even if he had, he didn't know if he would've had the courage any way. But then his mother's voice, clear and cutting right to the point - 'Do not speak of me as if I am not here.'

The appearance of a mare, circling to stand at his other side, also seemed known to his mother, and with the white patched mare there, Imshael relaxed a fraction, though his small body still carried tension. And
then another stranger appeared, and Imshael felt his heart sink. All these horses had found them, and yet none of them were the one horse they were looking for. Thoughts of his brother's whereabouts
were quickly cast aside when the newest arrival to the group spoke his father's name.

He felt the air in his lungs grow still, and tried to follow the conversation, but there was so much he didn't understand. There was something malicious about this mare, and Imshael didn't want to listen to anymore,
even if the mention of his mother's brother piqued his interest. Tipping his muzzle up to brush at his mother's shoulder, he spoke softly. "Can we please go?" The sooner they found Oberon, the sooner
they could leave this place and go back to Atlantis, where it was safe.
