Falls

The feeling of being lost was strong in a three year olds breast. His thick frame trembled faintly as he sucked in shuddering breaths, his eyes glossy as he forced tears away instead of letting them fall. Father had been gone for a while now, but that had not really bothered him all that much until his own mother seemed to just vanish for a while herself. He was without his parents, but at least he had Finley and Snapdragon, right? Wrong. Snapdragon ran off again, as he had seen her do before, which made everything worse. Hopefully he would know where to go soon to be with any of them, but for the moment he just needed to be away.

Shaking his head and forcing every difficult thought away, Grimlock just walked along the crossing. He would find his oddly colored mother in time, but for the moment he was enjoying being alone. It was different from being a herd stallion, but he knew he would never be in the Lagoon or just without a home. He was not mentally built to sustain that for life, which was a different wy to think than most stallions his age. He should be off, searching for a place to make a herd of his own, but he was not worried about it in the slightest.

Licking his lips, the red dun stallion with a white capped rump moved along quietly. He was about to leave the Falls when he saw someone in the distance. Not knowing who they were, he did not step all that much closer. However, he did gove off a soft whicker, curious if the woman was alright. With it being Fall though, he braced himself in case she came at him with teeth bared and anger stronger than a punch to the gut.
