Very live and "into it" crowd. Very conservative play, as can be expected noone wanted to make a mistake. Etcheberry was off his game. Hats off to St. Pete's own Kubala, he stood in there against Unda and made some outstanding catches. I don't think Manu missed a ball the entire evening. Unda put on a show, Bueno was pretty impressive and has improved a lot since his return. Benny catches everything in the back but his returns leave a lot to be desired imo and has no offensive shots, which obviously isn't the backs jobs but even when he has a rare chance to kill a point he just returns it to the back.
The cyclones were super excited to win and the trophy presentation was super cool. It meant a lot to those players.
Over all a fun event and high cesta to Magic city jai alai and the battle court folks. Its going to be interesting seeing how this transitions down to Miami jai alai. Replies:
