Blood vs Honor.

”This isn't allowed.”
“It's suicide.”
“WHY!?”
“BECAUSE ITS YOUR GOD DAMN FAULT!”

Voices bellow through the forest, marking the crisp winter morning air. Muscles bunch tight against two heavy set bodies that seem to be struggling to hold themselves together. It was a toxic mix of familiarly and honorability. The rage was palpable in the densely covered land, but it wasn't anything like the rolling storm that began to beat against Luthien and its inhabitants. It was as if the land was crying before the battle even begun.

Shifting large hooves upon the snow covered ground, a creature of monochrome hues glares down a beast of pure onyx. Golden eyes meet crimson stained orbs as a set of horses stand on the beach. Their bodies are wound tight, but neither move forward as their breaths billow towards the sky in deep plumes. The moisture they made with their breath mixed with their body temperature created steam. It made this dark morning seem even more sinister as black lips pulled back, baring yellowed canines that spoke of destruction and pain.

“Back off Lucifer.” Came a feminine voice. The grey shire cross shifted her stance, but never once did she show herself as weak in the face of her half brother. She wasn't about to let herself get beaten to a pulp, but she also wasn't willing to start whatever it was that Lucifer was here for. It was as if these two horses couldn't be around one another without a fight of some form brewing in their blood. Both of them should be able to meet with each other and not end up where they are now, but it wouldn't ever happen at this rate.

Shaking his head, the draft stallion could only chuckle lowly in his throat. He wanted to jerk forward and snap at the mare already, but that isn't what he did. No, Lucifer stood steady as he slowly rolled his head and neck, hearing the sound of bones cracking as he removed a few of the cricks that bothered him. “Now, now… Yaga… I ain't here to cause too much harm.” He wasn't really, but at the same time he was here for a reason. “You've had my son for long enough. It's time Rievas boy returns to me.” His first child, one he missed, was hiding in this damn forest. Lucifer wanted him, come hell or high water.

“You can't.” Yaga spoke, her frame trembling faintly as she saw the dark depth of her brothers eyes shine. “Ceyx wants nothing to do with you and your toxic ways.” Ceyx, the boy now turned into a grown man. The pale stallion wasn't something Yaga would be giving up easily, even if it would probably ease the tension that now flooded the air. It was driving her mad knowing she harbored her nephew, but unable to really work with him. In time that might change, but for the current moment nothing would be taking a different route than it already was on that path.

Pinning his ears, Lucifer snorted loudly before finally having enough. Flexing his body just right, the black monster pushed forward with all of his weight. It took a few strides, but soon enough he was running forward. With each step he took, the demon watched as Baba Yaga did the same. Meeting each other in the middle, both drafts rose up on their hind legs. Baring their teeth, brother and sister clashed with flailing limbs, biting teeth, and hollow thumps as strikes land upon both of their bodies. It was bloody. It was painful. Yet, both horses went at each other as if their lives depended on it. Evenly matched, it was the hardest fight of Lucifer’s life. It was the most exhausting fight for Baba Yaga yet.

But the problem? Neither of them stopped the battle until crimson painted the ground and a cry of pain sounded as something broke in one of their bodies.
