They need to get some time on the job and know the history, but they choose not to bother. This is nothing new to tier 2, just a different circumstance - the birthdate had to be raised every 5-10 years with regard to tier 1 benefits. I get fighting for benefits, but stop the them vs us BS, we have enough of that in this world.
