Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

Where the past comes back to life

Clarity

Nearly all winter she has stayed alone. Harmonie had only heard from her a couple of times just to know that she was alive. The rest of the time she had to be alone.

Bones crackle as she stands. Healing wounds now fading, but some would remain as a reminder of her failure. Though she had fought the Lagoon with everything she had it had not been enough. Garmr had seemed equally defeated, but still their mares were not captives to the Peak.

She has failed Božena.

Maybe it was unfulfilled anger that causes her to move today. She stalks the Peak like she owned the place until she eyes take in the sight of the herd...and of Khar'pern watching over them. Anger fills her eyes as she slowly creeps up the ledge she stands on. She was just close enough to hear her yell. Clarity may not know her head exactly, but she could only assume it went along with recent events.

Their last long winded conversation from awhile ago and her recent charge of action. She should have done more than just challenge the Lagoon. She should have knocked their Prime Minister down too.

"It is your curse," The words slip off her tongue in a quiet tone as she reaches the Prime Minister. "Just as mine is to have sons that dissapear." Her hurt from her young sons poofing was no longer something she cried over. The hurt was just some dark humor now. Watching the grey mare it was obvious she was troubled with her choices. In yet, she always made them. "Do you still think of Thara? And of her father?" She questions attempting to drive her point home. "We were young back then, new to the Peak. I was unwillingly pregnant with Patience and you had chosen to lay with the Lagoon."

Back then the Lagoon had been no different. They were hostile with Cullen high in power. She remembers Argento coming to visit and even becoming a secret informat for them. Perhaps he had not been so bad but the facts still show. Khar'pern had a habit of laying with the enemy. Giving them unnecessary strength. "You had asked me what I believe we should do next. Instead I have shown you with these new scars I now bear."

"The only thing left may be to change our leadership." Of course she meant their Prime Minister and not herself, but if stepping down meant so would her oldest friend than she would take that deal. Her body was tired anyway.
