Shifting his weight from one hoof to the other, Lucifer bided his time. He had kept himself busy this past season, but as the sun rose on a spring morning, he knew it was time. Taking that feeling and running with it, the black based stallion moved towards the Desert with his ears pinned and bright eyes holding nothing other than malice.

Pushing himself over the edge of his territory, the stallion twisted his head this way and that. Opening his senses and tasting the air, he tried to draw in the scent of one particular mare. Once her scent coating his tongue and nostrils, he quickly shifted his hooves that direction.

Shaking his large head, Lucifer trotted through the Desert with one ear twisted towards the core of Nyimara�s domain. It didn't take him much longer to run into Teagan, but once he did a low and gruff whicker left his lips. �We've gotta move.� His voice was breathless as he rubbed his head against her shoulder if she allowed.

Waiting for her response, Lucifer kept looking about them. He had to track the land and make sure they weren't jumped. It was hard for him not to just herd his Teagan back to the Dunes, but his brain was churning with the scent of foal mixed with her own. �Please Teagan� we gotta go.� He whispered. This was the kindest he had been to anyone in a long time. It was hard to hide the rising bubble of fear in his breast, but he didn't let it run his body as he stood there.
