to run is to die tired
Tyr turns to retreat the way he had come but a call pauses him mid-step. Glancing over, he watches as a spotted young stallion trots over, though he can’t decide if the stallion plans to approach Tyr or bypass him for a mare he hadn’t seen. When he stops directly in front of him, the large stallion gives a snort, realizing that it wouldn’t be the Lagoon that caused him trouble today. Although, they could still slither from the shadows at any time.
“Do I know you?” Tyr asks to the stallion’s grumbled comment. Did he think he was cool for such a line? The spotted stallion was too young to have been around during Tyr’s lagoon days. It must have been a family member he had wronged at some point.
Little option was given when the spotted stallion herded him towards the frigid waters. Tyr glanced back only once to see if he could spot Rutger. He didn’t expect to be saved or for his son to go with him. He only wanted him to know he wasn’t abandoned on purpose. But there was no sign of him. So, with a grunt of discomfort to the cold water that lapped against his fuzzy hide, he eased off into the water and swam to Tinuvel. Hopefully his newest captor didn’t drown him along the way.
