I can’t sit on my hands anymore. What has gone on at local 2 the last few years is beyond disgusting and I hoped this election would turn the tide but nothing is going to change. To answer your question yes. Charges were filed on Tony Martin by a member of the board. Yes allegedly they are financial in nature. Yes allegedly they have to do with spending that wasn’t approved by the board. Why have they not been released? Well who approves what goes out? I guess our president who ran on “transparency” again does not want to be transparent. He’s only transparent when he is using the blast to campaign with his little videos. During the construction of the hall there were two kids “working” for local 2. Whose kids?Maybe you should ask. One was the kid of member of the board who may or may not have an open investigation into his spending and the kid of his hand picked assistant who has collected a local 2 per diem for over two years now for doing god knows what. How were they paid? What were they paid? Is this ethical? Were your kids asked if they wanted to get paid to work at your hall with your dues money? Did the board approve this? Maybe you should start asking these questions. That same paid employee just ruled today that a current member of this board didn’t have to follow the bylaws and sign his paperwork and his merit waiver and put them in the box at the hall. Everyone else had to. No. He called the hall at 4:55. Made a phone call asked to be put in for a spot and was allowed to run. Thats against our rules. But he votes with them so it was ok. But just for him. Was anyone else allowed to do that? How about the guys who were eligible to run that couldn’t get to the hall to put their paperwork in? Maybe they should get the chance to do it to. Maybe if it was made that easy for them we wouldn’t have 7 guys unopposed for board spots. I don’t see how it’s possible for a paid employee of this board to be impartial in this election. Maybe it’s time for a change before another election is stolen. Replies:
