VALE, TREVOR SHORTEN, A124325, CREWMAN/LOADMASTER .... IP: 58.104.164.154 Posted on 9/1/2026 at 02:42:57 PM by Lance Haslewood
It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing this morning (09JAN26) of Trevor Shorten, crewman and loadmaster. I have no information as to the reason for his passing or any other details at this time.
Trevor was a former Iroquois Crewman and C-130E and B707 Loadmaster. He completed No 19 Crewman Course in 1978.
Although I had not flown with Trevor, I did have the pleasure of working with him at AMTDU in 1992 when he was one of the instructing staff there. He was a valued part of the team.
Sadly, during his time as a crewman, Trevor was involved in a helicopter crash in the Shoalwater Bay area and he suffered severe injuries including burns. I don't have the details of the crash on hand, but no doubt someone will. Kym Manuel.
I will provide more details when known. The link to Trev's AA Website Profile Page is below.
