1. In the event of a tie, does requiring a mutual decision within a week sound reasonable? If additional RP battle posts are selected, standard battle time limits would apply for the follow-up posts.
A week for both players to reach a decision in the event of a tie sounds reasonable to me.
2. In regard to any additional requirements to roleplay battles, do you like option A or B? Why or why not? Or do you have another idea or perspective we haven't mentioned yet?
In terms of judgments I think it would be easier if both characters have the same number of attacks/ defences. It may mean that one player has to write one more post than the other, but in my opinion the initiator should put a little more effort into the battle than the defender. Since the initiator has something to gain while the defender has nothing to gain (except an experience point where applicable).
However it looks like option A is the format that seems to be used most frequently (at least from what I have seen) which has been resulting in these ties.
I would therefore suggest the following format; (Note that character A is the initiator)
A) Intro and Attack 1
B) Intro, Defence 1 /Attack 1
A) Defence 1/ Attack 2
B) Defence 2/ Attack 2, Conclusion
A) Defence 2/ Conclusion
I plan to avoid roleplay battles where I can but acknowledge that it is something that comes with being a territory leader and therefore I will partake when required to. I will go with what the majority considers to be fair. The only thing I dont want to see is multiple attacks per post. This was the case on other games I have played in the past and the posts just became inflated and confusing to follow.
