Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

Deceitful and dishonest are the best of us;

While the honest and true are the worst of us.

As her tongue glides over her pale child, Canine handles it without a grimace. Compartmentalizating what she was doing and shoving everything to where it needed to be mentally, the red roan just did her job. Mimic was tucked up against her stomach, nursing the much needed colostrum. Canine wanted to flinch, to kick up with a hind leg and tap her child with her ankle. She didn't act on the impulse, no matter how much the nursing made her body ache.

Hearing what resembled a war cry, Canine lifted her head and looked in the direction it came from. Her long tail slowly reached out, tapping her pale daughter with the strands. Mimic didn't lift her head from where she was nursing, but Canine felt her daughter tuck just a tad closer. Canine might not be the strongest fighter here, but in time she would grow stronger and be able to protect her child better. “You're safe.” She whispered emotionlessly to her daughter before the other mare showed up. Looking at the bay mare, Canine was thankful her words were non-existent with their tone upon the others arrival.

Blinking her emerald eyes, the white dusted mare gave a faint sound, like a broken laugh, before she shifted her stance just a smidge. Fear managed to lace through her frame, showing unease that her daughter responded to. Her muscles ached with the emotion, but she hid many things with that simple change in body posture. “The Lagoon.” She rasped, her voice breaking with actual words. She had to blame someone, so blaming her birthplace was the best course of action without naming who hurt her just yet. “Thank you…but it's her I'm worried about protecting.” Canine whispered then, her nose turning to nudge the pale creature with four cloven hooves due to her defect. “This is my daughter… Mimic.”
