Raini even in her panic had realise the danger the strangers brought, she wanted to shove her son behind her although held fire realising the act would be laughable since stormy was mostly full grown now. Instead she kept her ears pinned as she tried to keep eyes on both the stranger and her now two year old son.
Stormy looked up at the stranger, he’d never been to the lagoon so was unfamiliar with the scent. However what he did know is he should not be here in the inlet. Snorting the dunskin overo shifting his position, spinning his haunches to keep himself in front of his mother and forward facing this stallion. He knew in a fight he wouldn’t be able to hold his own with this older and bigger stallion, but that didn’t mean he was just going to go tremble behind his mother.
His ears pinned back to his skull he addresses the intruder before Yer, I think not. Go home to where you came from, no one here is going to fall for your tricks he said firmly, feeling his mother brush his flank, silently telling him she was there and would support him.
The youngster was saved from needing to think up what to do next by a voice coming from behind him. He didn’t need to look to know it was his father, Nico would know better how to handle this intruder. His lips curled up, knowing his father could probably deal with this riff raff on his own, but his young son would be there to back him up.
