Memories Can Be So Fleeting Posted on January 13, 2026 at 04:35:14 PM by Teagan
Teagan kept her nose close to the child’s rump as he drank, watching him in awe and knowing she’d sacrifice herself for this tiny bundle if life called for it. Her ears continue to twitch, listening to everything around her, knowing that this was when her son was at his most vulnerable, in the short time after his birth when his gait wasn’t good enough to run if he had to, so she heard the soft whicker that came from him.
Turning her head towards the sound she smiled when she was sure it was Lucifer, her reply to him was a small a nod, follow by a tilt of her head towards their child in invitation. She was grateful for him not just charging in like the brute she knew he could be, as a new and first time mother her emotions were all a bit out of whack, however she’d also never deny him to see his son. With the foal still suckling she didn’t want to move and disturb him so instead she extended her muzzle towards him as he got closer.
Glancing back to the blanket spot youngster she gentle rang her muzzle over his rump before looking back to his father he’s perfect she said, watching as the colt finished his first meal. Turning on jittery legs, the colt nickered before jumping forward, Teagan chuckled as he promptly lost his balance and would have faceplanted the floor if she hadn’t quickly reached out to try and steady him. You are quite the little spitfire she said as the colt attempted to rear.
